About
The longer version
I want to use science to improve the human condition.
I got hooked on research as a chemical and biomolecular engineering student at Georgia Tech.
I started the MD-PhD program at Johns Hopkins in 2022, and now I'm doing my PhD in biomedical engineering. We're designing proteins, mostly cytokines and antibodies, to treat immune-mediated diseases. You can read more on the research page.
I'm also interested in what happens after the paper: how a discovery becomes a company, and then a medicine people can actually get. That's led me to biotech diligence as a fellow at Artis Ventures and to the GEM Fellowship at Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures. Before that, I worked with Glyphic Biotechnologies and A-Level Capital.
If any of this overlaps with what you're working on, I'd love to hear from you at contact@luketomasovic.com.
